Between battles:
Please see my promotion guide (almost finished now :P) for more details...
but basically, ALL of my characters promoted between battles. Also, make
sure to spend your hard earned money on equipment and such. Also, you
will notice that this one has no XP numbers or anything - decided that
it didn't really matter and is now waaay too much hassle for me. Levels
will still be given though.
You arrive in the valley seeing three members of Magus' group fleeing
from weird soldiers that lick their swords and puppies. Once they see
you they immediately join with you and start fighting.

Well... it takes a moron to mess up the battle to the
point of losing (as there isn't a single enemy higher level then you,
AND there are a lot more of you then what you are used to), but keeping
all characters, balancing out XP, AND getting the secret stuff? Hope you
have fliers...

5x GuardDog (Monk class, level 6, 45/45 HP)
10x MadSoldier (Soldier class, level 8, 63/63 HP)
Well.. as a general strategy, if you have at least one hawknight, don't
bother with the sluice gate until AFTER (s)he arrives on the other side
- quicker, and that hawknight can kill anything over there in one hit.
Also, it is needed for the MacroMan, as I have yet to NOT get the MacroMan
without a hawknight (either one killing all of the Mad Soldiers over there
then having a character grab it, or one grabbing it). Also, I'm using
this battle to level up Sara and Amon, as those are the only two characters
below first promotion level now.
Don't worry, this battle is easy.
What I did:
Hero Turn 1:
Clint: Moved back and grabbed Mad Book.
Ash: Moved forward all the way.
Diego: Lined up with Ash
Kira: Lined up to Ash's other side.
Eleni: Moved forward.
Huxley: Moved forward, kicked the rock, and cast MShield on Kira. Huxley
Lv Up
Grog: Moved forward.
Dolan: Moved back.
Sara: Moved back, cast MShield on Dolan.
Amon: Moved back.
Enemy Turn 1:
Puppy1: Attacks Ash (7 damage, countered and smited).
Puppy2: Attacks Kira on her side (14 damage, countered and smited).
Puppy3: Attacks Ash (8 damage + poison, countered and smited).
Puppy4: Attacks Kira on her side (14 damage, countered and smited). Kira
Lv Up

Psycho01: Stays put.
Psycho02: Stays put.
Puppy5: Advances towards Dolan.
Psycho03: Advances towards Dolan.
Psycho04: Yet again advancing towards Dolan.
Psycho05: Hey, guess what, moving in on Dolan.
Psycho06: Wow, Dolan and him must go way back...
Psycho07: Stays put.
Psycho08: Dances.
Psycho09: Bends over to tie shoes.
Psycho10: Looks stupid.
Hero Turn 2: ***PREROUND*** Ash takes 20 damage from
poison.
Huxley: Moves almost all the way forward, turns around, and casts Cure
on Ash.
Ash: Moves up.
Diego: Boogies on up.
Clint: Advances towards the target.
Eleni: Waltzes on forward.
Kira: Looking sexy with her wings, Kira maneuvers herself on up.
Grog: Looking for beer, Grog accidentally goes up.
Dolan: Defying everyone, Dolan retreats to next to the boulder.
Sara: Moves in front of Dolan and casts Mystic Shield on Amon.
Amon: Shoots Puppy5. 24 damage.
Enemy Turn 2:
Psycho01: Stays put.
Psycho02: Stays put.
Puppy5: Moves behind Amon and attacks (20 damage, countered with an arrow
to the spine).
Psycho03: Advances towards Dolan.
Psycho04: Yet again advancing towards Dolan.
Psycho05: Hey, guess what, moving in on Dolan.
Psycho06: Wow, Dolan and him must go way back...
Psycho07: Stays put.
Psycho08: Dances.
Psycho09: Bends over to tie shoes.
Psycho10: Looks stupid.
Hero Turn 3:
Dolan: Flexes his muscles and doesn't move.
Sara: Moves behind the rock and casts Mystic Shield on Dolan.
Amon: Runs away like the scared little boy that just took 20 that he was.
Huxley: Advances. Doesn't cast a spell for the first
time in the game (I forgot).
Ash: Moves to the switch and does nothing.
Diego: Flies over the water towards Dolan.
Clint: Crawls closer to the area.
Eleni: Waltzes on forward.
Kira: Pissed off that the Psychos insulted her good looks, she flies over
the water and impales one of them on her spear (63 damage, it be dead).
Grog: Looking for beer, Grog accidentally goes up.
Enemy Turn 3:
Psycho02: Moves around and tries to rape Kira from behind. Doesn't work
(countered for 59 damage).
Psycho03: Advances towards Dolan.
Psycho04: Actually reaches Dolan and attacks for 24 damage. Dolan counters
for 20.
Psycho05: Stays put.
Psycho06: He is recalling his past adventures with Dolan, and forgets
to move.
Psycho07: Ooo! Pretty bird!
Psycho08: Dances.
Psycho09: Bends over to tie shoes.
Psycho10: Looks stupid.
Hero Turn 4:
Dolan: Actually attacks for once (16 damage, 25 counter).
Sara: Heals Dolan. Sara Lv Up
Amon: Shoots over Dolan's head.
Diego: Flies really fast, doesn't realize it, and pokes
the Psycho with his pointed stick.
Kira: Doesn't like being attacked. Wow, it actually DOES look like the
spear is going for his crotch... Ouch...
Ash: Sits down, accidentally pressing the switch. Moves towards Dolan.
Huxley: MShields himself after moving towards Dolan.
Clint: Crawls closer to the area.
Eleni: Wow, she must know Dolan too!
Grog: Looking for beer, Grog accidentally goes up.
Enemy Turn 4:
Psycho03: Mad Soldier vs. Diego. Diego wins (23 damage to Diego, 63 to
the soldier. Ye gods, I love fliers).
Psycho05: Hey, guess what, moving in on Dolan.
Psycho06: Wow, Dolan and him must go way back...
Psycho07: WHOA! They DO move! Moving towards guess who.
Psycho08: Moving towards guess who.
Psycho09: Must be a party at Dolan's house...
Psycho10: And they are invited.
Hero Turn 5:
Amon: Shoots over Dolan's head for 17 damage. Amon Level Up
Dolan: Attacks the same soldier Amon did.
Sara: Moves back towards that chest and casts MShield on herself along
the way.
Diego: Flies behind the psycho they AREN'T fighting and kills it.
Kira: Grabs treasure chest.
Ash: Moves forward and casts Faerie Light on himself. Ash Level
Up
Huxley: MShields himself after moving towards Dolan.
Clint: Crawls closer to the area.
Eleni: Wow, she must know Dolan too!
Grog: Looking for beer, Grog accidentally goes up.
Enemy Turn 5:
Psycho05: He notices Grog's back and goes towards the drunkard. Hitting,
Grog looks around a bit with his sword and kills him accidentally. He
will be missed.
Psycho07: WHOA! They DO move! Moving towards guess who.
Psycho08: Moving towards guess who.
Psycho09: Must be a party at Dolan's house...
Psycho10: And they are invited.
Hero Turn 6:
Amon: Stands there bored.
Dolan: Ditto.
Sara: Moves back and attacks the chest.
Diego: Flies forward at full speed.
Kira: Stays.
Ash: Stays.
Huxley: MShields himself.
Clint: Crawls closer to the area.
Eleni: Distracting some Mad Soldiers, she casts Piercing ray on THREE
of them.
Grog: Now sober, Grog murders a soldier.
Enemy Turn 6:
Psycho07: Attacks Eleni and lives.
Psycho08: Attacks Grog and lives.
Psycho09: Attacks Grog and dies.
Psycho10: Attacks Grog and dies. Grog Level Up
Hero Turn 7:
Diego: Flies forward at full speed, grabbing the MacroMan.
Amon: Stands there bored.
Dolan: Slices one of the Psychos, killing it.
Eleni: Whacks a Psycho.
Sara: Casts MShield.
Huxley: Heals Grog.
Grog: Now drunk, Grog accidentally slips, falls, and lets his blade through
a psycho's neck.
